Dr. Alisha Kumar

Dr. Alisha Gandhi Kumar is a glaucoma specialist and member of the Glaucoma Service at Cincinnati Eye Institute. She has a strong interest in treating glaucoma with medications, laser procedures, and surgery. Her surgical expertise includes glaucoma tube shunt implants, trabeculectomies, combined glaucoma/cataract surgeries, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. She also performs cataract surgery for patients with and without glaucoma.

Dr. Kumar completed her glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute and her ophthalmology residency at Summa Health System, where she served as Chief Resident. She earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.

Outside of ophthalmology, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with her husband, learning new recipes to cook, and working out.
