She earned her M.D. from Sidney Kimmel Medical College and completed internship at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. She then trained in ophthalmology at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute before completing two fellowships: neuro-ophthalmology at Emory and pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Vanderbilt.
