Dr. David Wallace

David K. Wallace, M.D., M.P.H., is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and the George W. Hale Professor and Chair of Ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As Director of the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, he leads a team dedicated to providing advanced care for children with eye conditions. Dr. Wallace specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity, amblyopia, and strabismus in both children and adults.

With a strong background in clinical research, Dr. Wallace actively participates in studies that improve treatments for pediatric eye diseases. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to ophthalmology, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and multiple honors from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
