Alexander DeCubellis, MD, provides comprehensive ophthalmology with a focus on cataract and laser vision correction. He performs cataract surgery and refractive procedures and offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) when it can improve safety or reduce dependence on drops. Dr. DeCubellis is passionate about helping patients understand their options, whether they want sharper distance vision, less glare at night, or simply a safer, faster recovery. Dr. DeCubellis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama and earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York, where he served as chief resident, and trained at Columbia University in Manhattan during part of his surgical education. He enjoys caring for a broad range of patients and communicates comfortably in Spanish. His approach is warm, family-oriented, and focused on matching procedure choices to each patient’s lifestyle and visual goals.
