Dr. Alexander Harris

Dr. Alexander R. Harris is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group's Burrstone Campus, where he provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art eye care. He is deeply committed to remaining at the forefront of ophthalmology and delivering the highest level of care to his patients and their families.

As the son of an ophthalmologist, Dr. Harris grew up fascinated by discussions about eye care and knew early on that patient-centered ophthalmology was his calling. He completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York, where he also served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from The Commonwealth Medical College of Pennsylvania in Scranton.

Dr. Harris is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He offers advanced treatments for a wide range of eye conditions, including cataract surgery, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye. He is also certified and trained in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery.
