Dr. Lawrence Cecchi

Dr. Lawrence Cecchi is a board-certified ophthalmologist serving patients in the greater Syracuse, Liverpool, and Oneida areas. He brings a comprehensive approach to eye care, with a particular focus on cataract surgery and general ophthalmology. Dr. Cecchi is committed to incorporating innovative technology, such as refractive cataract surgery with multifocal intraocular lenses, to enhance patient outcomes.

After graduating from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, Dr. Cecchi completed his ophthalmology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He then served as an attending ophthalmologist at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown for five years, where he introduced advanced cataract surgery techniques. In 2012, he acquired a private practice in Syracuse and continues to provide a wide range of ophthalmic services. Dr. Cecchi is fluent in Italian and, outside of medicine, enjoys painting, gardening, and spending time with his family.
