Meet Dr. John J Costello

Dr. John J. Costello Jr. is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Costello Eye Physicians & Surgeons. He provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, including cataract surgery, and treats a variety of eye conditions. Dr. Costello is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Costello serves as a clinical instructor and faculty member at the State University of New York Upstate Medical College and Health Science Center in Syracuse, where he works with ophthalmology residents. He returned to Central New York after serving as chief ophthalmology resident at Doctor's Hospital/Ohio University and has received additional specialized training from Harvard University's Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and the Ohio State University.
