About Me
Dr. Alex Hacopian is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Mann Eye Institute, specializing in advanced vision correction and eye care procedures. His expertise includes Advanced LASIK surgery, Refractive Lens Exchange, and Corneal Cross-Linking for treating Keratoconus. He also manages glaucoma using the latest Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) techniques and performs Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery with Active Life Lenses to restore clear vision.
Born and raised in Houston, Dr. Hacopian is deeply connected to the local community. He completed his undergraduate education with honors at the University of Texas at Austin, earning degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology, then graduated from medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. His ophthalmology residency was completed at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he served as chief resident in his senior year.
Before returning to Houston to join Mann Eye Institute, Dr. Hacopian gained surgical experience at the Abilene Eye Institute, performing refractive and cataract surgeries.
