Dr. Ahad Mahootchi

Dr. Mahootchi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and founder of The Eye Clinic of Florida. He completed medical school, internship in internal medicine, and residency in ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University. With over 28 years of experience, he specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, and laser vision correction, and has performed over 30,000 eye surgeries.

Dr. Mahootchi treats a wide range of eye conditions including dry eyes, tearing eyes, corneal problems, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. He offers advanced surgical options such as drop-less cataract surgery, presbyopia-correcting lens implants, and innovative glaucoma treatments including XEN gel stents and Hydrus. He has been recognized for his expertise and has served as past president of the Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society and vice president of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.
