About Me
Dr. Teofil Kulyk is an ophthalmologist with over four decades of experience serving the Plant City community. He began his career as a social studies and Russian language teacher before transitioning to medicine, opening his own ophthalmology practice in Plant City in 1980. After 34 years in private practice, he joined Brandon Eye Associates in 2014, where he continues to provide compassionate eye care.
Dr. Kulyk earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1972 and completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He later held an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida.
He specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma management and surgery, eyelid surgery, and pterygium removal, offering comprehensive eye care for a wide range of conditions. Dr. Kulyk is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is on staff at South Florida Baptist Hospital and Central Florida Surgi-Center.
