About Me

Dr. Adam J. Altman is a fellowship-trained corneal and cataract specialist serving as President of Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania. He focuses on comprehensive eye health and surgical care, with expertise in micro-incisional cataract surgery, astigmatism correction, presbyopia correction with multifocal lens implants, and treatment of pterygium and corneal disease.

Dr. Altman views his role as both a teacher and a surgeon, taking time to explain diagnostic results and discuss medical and surgical options with patients. He is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes through state-of-the-art surgical techniques. He performs cataract surgery at the Pennsylvania Eye and Ear Surgery Center and holds staff privileges at Reading Hospital.

Throughout his career, Dr. Altman has been active in clinical research and has taught cataract surgery and refractive techniques to physicians in the United States and abroad, including humanitarian missions in Mexico and Kenya. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical literature and continues to lecture on advanced cataract and cornea procedures.
