About Me
Dr. Zeina M. Salem is an ophthalmologist at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she provides compassionate, kid-friendly care for infants, children, and teens with eye and vision concerns. She offers complete evaluations for common and complex pediatric conditions and works closely with families to create clear, step-by-step treatment plans. When surgery is needed, Dr. Salem performs procedures for strabismus, ptosis, cataracts, and pediatric glaucoma with a focus on safety, comfort, and long-term visual development. She partners with child-life specialists and a multidisciplinary pediatric team so every visit feels supportive and reassuring for children and their caregivers.
Dr. Salem completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center after residency training in Ophthalmology at Cairo University School of Medicine, where she also earned her medical degree. She welcomes new patients at St. Christopher’s Pediatric Associates Ophthalmology on East Erie Avenue in Philadelphia and is dedicated to helping each child see clearly and thrive at home, in school, and at play.
