About Me
Dr. Xiaoqin Alexa Lu is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology at the Emory Eye Center. She joined the Emory faculty in 2012 and has been practicing since 2007. Dr. Lu is dedicated to providing a full spectrum of eye care, from routine exams to the management of complex eye conditions.
Dr. Lu is known for her thorough and patient-centered approach, taking time to explain conditions and treatment options. Her research interests in telemedicine and international eye care reflect her commitment to expanding access to quality eye care. Patients appreciate her attentive listening and clear communication, which help them feel involved in their care decisions.
With a background that includes an ophthalmology fellowship at the University of California, San Diego and residency at Rhode Island Hospital, Dr. Lu brings extensive training to her practice. She also served as an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, contributing to the education of future ophthalmologists. Dr. Lu is fluent in English and Mandarin, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population.
