About Me
Dr. Leon R. Gross is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract and refractive surgery. With over 15,000 surgical procedures performed, he has extensive experience in cataract and lens implant surgery, LASIK, and multifocal implant surgery. He served as a clinical investigator for the FDA LASIK clinical trial and for 3M intraocular lenses, and was among the earliest surgeons in the United States to perform multifocal implant surgery.
Dr. Gross is the Medical Director of Thomas Eye Surgery Center and has served as Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Emory University and Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. His practice is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art eye care with a focus on compassion and trust.
