Dr. William Read

Dr. Jason Read is a board-certified ophthalmologist serving the Northeast Louisiana community for over 19 years. He has practiced in Monroe since 2005 and opened his own clinic, Read Eye Center, in 2011. He specializes in cataract surgery and the treatment of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Read completed his undergraduate degree in biological engineering at Mississippi State University, followed by medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Louisiana State Medical Society, and has served in leadership roles including past president of the Ouachita Medical Society.

Dr. Read performs cataract and glaucoma surgery at St. Francis P&S Surgery and Heart Center and Monroe Surgical Hospital. His practice is located in the St. Francis Community Health Center on Tower Drive in Monroe.
