Dr. Vladimir Yakopson

Dr. Vladimir S. Yakopson is a board-certified ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon at Cascade Eye & Skin Centers. He specializes in oculoplastic surgery, treating conditions of the eyelids, periocular area, upper face, orbit, and lacrimal (tearing) system. He also performs cataract surgery, laser procedures for secondary cataracts and glaucoma, and LASIK and PRK.

Dr. Yakopson brings extensive military experience, having served over 20 years on active duty and achieving the rank of Colonel. He served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Madigan Army Medical Center and Lead of the Ocular Trauma Center. He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University, where he directs training programs in orbital anatomy and ocular trauma. His commitment to advancing ophthalmologic care includes peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national presentations.
