Dr. Vinay Dewan

Dr. Vinay Neil Dewan is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in glaucoma management and advanced cataract surgery. He has extensive experience in both traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, as well as premium cataract lens technologies.

Dr. Dewan completed his glaucoma fellowship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. He earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, after undergraduate studies in biology at Saint Louis University. Throughout his career, he has practiced in Arizona and Washington state, most recently as a glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.

His clinical expertise includes trabecular bypass stenting such as iStent and Hydrus, ab interno canaloplasty, GATT, XEN Gel Stent placement, and femtosecond-laser assisted cataract surgery with advanced lens options. Dr. Dewan's research has been published in peer-reviewed journals like Ophthalmology, Retinal Cases & Brief Reports, and the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, focusing on cost-effectiveness in diabetic macular edema treatment and rare retinal conditions.
