About Me
Dr. Tim Ducey is an ophthalmologist who completed his medical education at the University of North Carolina with support from a US Army scholarship. Following medical school, he undertook an internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and served as a Flight Surgeon with the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, gaining experience in aviation medicine. He then specialized in ophthalmology through a residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
After residency, Dr. Ducey worked as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for the Army at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia. In this role, he performed a high volume of surgical procedures, including basic and premium cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and various refractive surgeries like LASIK, PRK, and Visian ICL implantation. This surgical background enables him to offer comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on operative treatments for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive errors.
Currently, Dr. Ducey is associated with Eyesight Associates, where he continues to provide eye care services. He is based in the Warner Robins area and lives in Macon with his wife and four children. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing golf and spending quality time with his family.
