About Me
Dr. Thomas George Lamont Hunter is an ophthalmologist who specializes in comprehensive eye care. He is highly skilled in cataract and glaucoma surgery, and provides screening and management for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Dr. Hunter is experienced in a wide range of laser and surgical procedures for glaucoma treatment, including the use of glaucoma drainage devices.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hunter serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and teaches glaucoma management and treatment at the Durham VA Medical Center to medical students and residents. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care through both medical and surgical interventions, and his research interests include glaucoma treatment outcomes and genetic abnormalities in glaucoma.
Dr. Hunter practices at the Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina, where he offers a full spectrum of ophthalmic services to adult patients.
