About Me
Dr. Thomas Albini is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retina and vitreous diseases and uveitis. He serves as a Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and holds the Robert Z. & Nancy J. Greene Chair in Ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and macular diseases, and he is skilled in vitreoretinal surgery.
Dr. Albini provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from children to older adults. He is actively involved in research, with interests in experimental autoimmune uveitis and intravitreal injection techniques, which informs his approach to patient care. His practice is part of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute's Ocular Surface Center, where he contributes to a multidisciplinary team focused on complex eye conditions.
