About Me
Dr. Harry W. Flynn, Jr. is a retina and vitreous specialist at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he holds the J. Donald M. Gass Distinguished Chair in Ophthalmology and serves as a professor. He focuses on medical and surgical treatments for conditions affecting the retina and vitreous, including diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases, and retinal detachment.
With over 700 peer-reviewed publications and extensive leadership roles in ophthalmology, Dr. Flynn is a nationally recognized expert in retinal diseases. He has served as president of The Vitreous Society (now the American Society of Retina Specialists) and the Miami Ophthalmological Society, and he contributes to editorial boards and data safety monitoring committees for major retinal studies.
