Dr. Tasneem Shamim

Dr. Tasneem F. Shamim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and eye physician and surgeon who has been serving the Somerset, New Jersey community for over 25 years. She earned her bachelor's degree from Rutgers College and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Shamim provides comprehensive general eye care and surgical treatments for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, and macular degeneration.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Shamim is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and has participated in FDA clinical research studies. She also devotes time to volunteer work, including donating used glasses to those in need.
