Dr. Tao Ming Thomas Chia

Dr. Tao Ming Thomas Chia is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who blends evidence-based medicine with advanced technology to help patients see their best at every stage of life. His clinical interests include cataract surgery—especially in patients who previously had LASIK or PRK—dry eye care, and both laser and surgical treatments for corneal and glaucoma disease. Dr. Chia enjoys partnering with patients to explain findings clearly, outline options, and create practical plans that fit their goals and day-to-day routines.

He completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, followed by internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington. He then pursued fellowship training at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Outside the clinic, he values time with family and staying active.
