About Me
Dr. Talisa Forest is a vitreoretinal surgeon at the UCHealth Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center, where she cares for people with both common and complex diseases of the retina and vitreous. She is a CU Medicine provider. Her practice includes the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina, and she emphasizes clear communication, education, and shared decision-making so each patient understands their condition and options. She has a particular interest in retinal imaging and in tailoring treatment plans that help protect sight and preserve daily activities.
Dr. Forest completed advanced fellowship training at the University of Colorado after ophthalmology residency training in Chicago, and earned her medical degree at Tufts University with undergraduate study at the University of Pennsylvania. She collaborates closely with referring eye care providers and primary care teams to coordinate timely care. Patients see her for issues such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal tears or detachment, and other urgent retinal problems, as well as ongoing follow-up when long-term therapy is needed.
Dr. Forest believes in treating the patient, not just the disease. She treats patients with respect and equality. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and playing soccer with her husband and child. Her goal is always to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care in a supportive environment.
