About Me
Dr. Alan Palestine is an ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis and ocular immunology at the UCHealth Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center in Aurora, Colorado. He treats a wide range of ocular inflammatory conditions, including uveitis, scleritis, pars planitis, retinitis, and choroiditis.
He also manages systemic inflammatory diseases that affect the eyes, such as Behcet's disease, VKH syndrome, and birdshot retinochoroidopathy. Dr. Palestine has expertise in diagnosing and treating intraocular infections, including CMV retinitis, herpetic retinitis, and ocular toxoplasmosis. He completed his medical training at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by an internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic, and a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
