Dr. Stephen Sauer

Dr. Stephen Sauer is an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He provides comprehensive ophthalmology care, addressing a wide range of eye conditions through routine examinations and medical management.

Dr. Sauer also has a research focus on surgical education, studying ways to improve competency and training for ophthalmology residents. He earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by an internship at MetroHealth Medical Center and residency training at Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health and Science University and Tulane University Medical Center.
