About Me
Dr. Spero Kinnas is a board-certified eye surgeon and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Bethesda Eye Institute of Saint Louis University, where he served as chief resident. He later became a clinical associate professor at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and an attending ophthalmic surgeon at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Kinnas provides a range of surgical and medical eye care, including laser cataract surgery, retinal angiography, and intraocular injections for treating diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other retinal vessel conditions. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and its Refractive Surgery Interest Group. His clinical expertise covers conditions such as glaucoma, corneal disease, and ocular inflammation. He has been recognized with the LEO Recognition Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for his commitment to lifelong education.
