Meet Dr. Mackenzie Marie Sward

Dr. Mackenzie M. Sward is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with a focus on helping patients protect and restore vision as their needs change over time. She cares for common and complex eye conditions, and emphasizes clear explanations and practical treatment options tailored to each patient’s goals.

Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, care for macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma management, including minimally invasive and laser-based approaches when appropriate. She also evaluates and treats eyelid conditions, offering both medical and procedure-based solutions.

Dr. Sward completed her ophthalmology residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed her undergraduate studies at Concordia College in Moorhead, where she studied chemistry and mathematics.
