Dr. Soo Young Shin

Dr. Shin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been with Virginia Eye Center since 2002. She provides a full array of ophthalmology services, with a special focus on corneal and external eye diseases. She treats common conditions such as dry eye, blepharitis, cataracts, and glaucoma, and performs comprehensive eye exams.

Dr. Shin is also a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she educates ophthalmology residents. Her fellowship training at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital further refined her expertise in cornea and external disease. She is fluent in Korean.
