About Me
Dr. Sonali D. Talsania is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She cares for infants, children, and teens with vision problems and eye alignment concerns, and she also treats adults who have strabismus. In addition to comprehensive exams, she provides both medical and surgical care for conditions such as amblyopia (“lazy eye”), blocked tear ducts, childhood cataracts, and eyelid conditions.
At Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, Dr. Talsania partners with families to explain diagnoses clearly and to tailor treatment plans to each child’s needs. She earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School, completed residency training at Boston Medical Center, and completed fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Duke University’s Duke Eye Center. She is also committed to teaching and advancing pediatric eye care through her academic and clinical work.
