About Me
Dr. Shruthi Harish is a neuro-ophthalmologist who bridges ophthalmology and neurology to diagnose and treat complex problems at the eye–brain interface. She completed medical training in India, followed by an ophthalmology residency at JIPMER (Pondicherry) and a glaucoma fellowship at Nethradhama Hospital in Bangalore. In the United States, she conducted ophthalmic research before completing a neurology residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital. At Wills Eye, Dr. Harish cares for patients with double vision, optic neuritis and other optic neuropathies, thyroid eye disease, myasthenia gravis, and vision changes related to pituitary or other intracranial disorders. She emphasizes careful listening, clear explanations, and coordinated care with neurology, endocrinology, and neurosurgery. Her goal is to provide answers and a practical plan so patients feel informed and supported at every step.
