About Me
Dr. Scott Yeates is a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist and adult strabismus specialist at Excel Eye Center. He provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, from premature infants to teenagers and adults with strabismus and double vision. His clinical expertise includes the medical and surgical management of amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), childhood eyelid disorders, pediatric glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, and ocular infections.
Dr. Yeates completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Brigham Young University and earned his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He then completed an internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. He further specialized through a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at the Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina. Dedicated to advancing children's eye care, he is actively involved in clinical research, charitable initiatives, and professional organizations such as the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
