About Me
Dr. Sravanthi Vegunta is an ophthalmologist who cares for both adults and children with disorders affecting eye movements and the connection between the eyes and the brain. She specializes in neuro-ophthalmology and strabismus and provides comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology care. Patients see her at the John A. Moran Eye Center’s University of Utah and Midvalley clinics as well as at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and Lehi. She values clear communication, careful diagnosis, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and daily life.
Dr. Vegunta completed her ophthalmology residency at the Moran Eye Center, where she served as a resident co-chief, followed by a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Utah. She then completed a pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Phoenix and previously completed a preliminary surgical internship in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Vegunta is committed to improving access to subspecialty eye care across the Mountain West and enjoys partnering closely with referring clinicians and families to support long-term visual health.
