About Me

Dr. Marielle Young is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for children, as well as for adults with strabismus. Her clinical expertise includes the evaluation and management of amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), infantile and developmental cataracts, and nasolacrimal duct obstruction (tear duct blockage). Dr. Young is dedicated to improving the vision and eye health of her patients through both non-surgical and surgical treatments.

Dr. Young completed her medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine, followed by a transitional internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of California and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children's Hospital Boston. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds an academic appointment as a clinical professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah.
