Dr. Scott Walsman

Dr. Scott M. Walsman is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon, and glaucoma specialist practicing at Hudson Eye Physicians & Surgeons in Jersey City, Bayonne, and Millburn, New Jersey. He earned his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in glaucoma at Columbia University's Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute.

Dr. Walsman provides a full spectrum of eye care, from routine eye exams to complex surgical management. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, offering medical, laser, and surgical options including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He also manages cataract surgery with lens implants, retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, and general eye health needs.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Walsman serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, where he is involved in teaching and research. He is affiliated with Jersey City Medical Center and St. Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Walsman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology, and he holds certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology.
