About Me
Dr. Scott M. Friedman is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been providing expert eye care to patients in Central Florida for over two decades. He specializes in retinal conditions and is fellowship-trained in retina and vitreous disorders. Dr. Friedman is known for combining state-of-the-art medical technology with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Dr. Friedman completed his undergraduate and medical degrees with honors at the University of Missouri in Columbia, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the same institution. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in retina and vitreous at Northwestern University Medical School. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Friedman serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and previously held a faculty position at the University of Florida.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Friedman is an avid marathon runner and has completed the Boston Marathon. He enjoys a variety of sports, musical theater, and traveling.
