About Me

Dr. Scott H. Greenstein is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Mass Eye and Ear, where he is a member of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataract Consultation Service and an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, and completed an internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Greenstein specializes in both complex and routine cataract surgery, and treats patients with multi-specialty ophthalmic problems and diagnostic dilemmas, including glaucoma. He has designed a surgical instrument to improve the accuracy of toric intraocular lens implantation and has written about his surgical innovations and unusual clinical entities.

A dedicated educator, Dr. Greenstein teaches cataract surgery techniques to Harvard Medical School residents and to residents nationwide at the annual Harvard Intensive Cataract Surgery Training Course.
