About Me
Dr. Scott B. Pomerantz is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been serving the Bergen County community for over three decades. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Pomerantz completed his residency training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident at Montefiore Medical Center.
Since entering private practice in Paramus in 1990, Dr. Pomerantz has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and laser treatments for glaucoma. He was the first surgeon in Bergen County to use the Catalys Femto laser for cataract surgery and has extensive experience with advanced multifocal and extended depth of focus intraocular lens implants. His clinical expertise also includes the diagnosis and management of macular degeneration, corneal conditions, dry eye syndrome, and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Pomerantz is the founder of Metro Eye Care and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is known for his thorough examinations, clear explanations, and compassionate approach to patient care.
