Dr. Sarah Anis

Dr. Sarah Anis is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes as a cataract and glaucoma surgeon. She focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, including open angle, closed angle, and secondary forms, as well as diseases and surgery of the anterior segment of the eye. Her expertise includes performing glaucoma laser surgery and advanced glaucoma surgeries such as tube shunt procedures to lower intraocular pressure.

Dr. Anis completed her residency in ophthalmology through programs in Nagpur, India and at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She further honed her skills with a glaucoma research fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and a glaucoma clinical fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University, two of the most esteemed eye care institutions in the United States.

After finishing her fellowship in 2010, Dr. Anis joined the Rhode Island Eye Institute, where she provides comprehensive care for patients with all types of glaucoma. She is dedicated to offering both surgical and medical management options for her patients. Outside of her practice, she lives with her husband and children in Barrington, Rhode Island.
