Dr. Sandeep Bhatia

Dr. Sandeep Bhatia is an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He grew up in Peoria, Illinois and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, Chicago, receiving degrees in both Philosophy and Biology with Distinction. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Dr. Bhatia completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago and his residency training in Ophthalmology at The Eye Institute of the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. His professional interests include refractive laser-assisted cataract surgery, advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs), and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He values connecting with patients to understand their visual needs and provide personalized care.

Dr. Bhatia has published research on risk factors for retinal detachment and intraocular pressure variation with choroidal melanoma. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Outside of work, he enjoys activities with his family, exploring the Tulsa area, playing and watching sports, and travel.
