About Me
Dr. Sabita Ittoop is a board-certified, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist who uses cutting-edge technology to create customized treatment plans for her patients. She is skilled in complex cataract surgeries, glaucoma laser treatments, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, trabeculectomies, and glaucoma drainage devices.
Dr. Ittoop completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, a master’s in Public Health at Columbia University, and her medical degree at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She then completed an internship at Columbia University, an ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester where she served as Chief Resident, and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Colorado.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Ittoop is a Clinical Associate Professor at George Washington University, mentoring ophthalmology residents and graduate students. She also serves as a Consulting Physician for Congress, the Department of State, and Maritime Medical Access. Dr. Ittoop is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and she has volunteered her expertise internationally, including at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in India and in remote regions of Ecuador.
