About Me
Dr. Saad Ahmad is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist serving patients throughout the Chicagoland area. He brings nearly two decades of clinical and surgical experience to the management of complex retinal conditions, with a commitment to evidence-based medicine and a patient-centered approach.
Dr. Ahmad's clinical expertise covers a wide spectrum of vitreoretinal disease, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular edema, epiretinal membranes, retinal vein occlusion, and vitreous disorders. He offers advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques, such as high-resolution OCT imaging, intravitreal injections, vitrectomy, and laser therapy, customizing treatment plans to each patient's individual circumstances. He is actively involved in clinical research, serving as an investigator on multiple trials exploring new therapies for retinal disease.
Dr. Ahmad communicates with patients in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Urdu. He works collaboratively with optometrists and general ophthalmologists to coordinate care seamlessly.
