About Me
Dr. Michel is an ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care, bringing the perspective of military medicine to everyday vision needs. During his service as an active-duty U.S. Army ophthalmologist, he cared for service members and their families and performed procedures such as cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and refractive surgery.
He earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and chemistry and completed osteopathic medical school through the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program. His postgraduate training included a transitional internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and an ophthalmology residency with the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium.
Patients can expect a thorough evaluation, clear explanations, and a plan tailored to their goals—whether that means improving vision, lowering eye pressure, or protecting long-term eye health.
