About Me
Dr. Rupan Trikha is a fellowship-trained vitreo-retinal surgeon at Monmouth Retina in Little Silver, New Jersey. He specializes in the treatment of retinal conditions and is known for performing the first Encelto® implant in New Jersey, offering an FDA-approved treatment for patients with Macular Telangiectasia Type 2. This innovative therapy is designed to slow disease progression and help preserve remaining vision, moving beyond just managing complications.
Dr. Trikha earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, where he also completed his ophthalmic internship. He served as Chief Resident of Ophthalmology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and then completed a fellowship in vitreo-retinal disease and surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. His undergraduate and graduate studies were completed at Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
