Dr. Ronald Bergman

Dr. Ronald Bergman has been providing ophthalmology care in the metro Detroit area since 1993. He specializes in cataract surgery, refractive surgery including LASIK, and the management of glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. Dr. Bergman was one of the first surgeons to perform LASIK in Michigan and has extensive experience with small incision cataract surgery and multi-focal lens implants.

Dr. Bergman completed his medical education at the University of Michigan and his ophthalmology residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, where he served as chief resident. He is a clinical instructor at Wayne State University and has contributed to research that led to FDA approval of LASIK. His practice emphasizes advanced, minimally invasive techniques for cataract and refractive surgery.
