Dr. Robert Wirthlin

Dr. Wirthlin is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases. He joined the Spokane Eye Clinic in July 2006 after completing his residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases at Jules Stein Eye Institute. Dr.

Wirthlin's areas of expertise include diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular diseases, age-related macular degeneration, and the surgical repair of retinal detachment, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. He also has an interest in ocular trauma and ocular imaging. Dr. Wirthlin is committed to providing compassionate care to his patients and has presented research at national meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals.
