Dr. Rizwan Somani

Dr. Riz Somani is a retinal specialist with extensive training in vitreo-retinal surgery and medical retina. He completed his medical education at the University of Toronto and advanced his expertise through a vitreo-retinal fellowship at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Somani's clinical practice focuses on complex retinal conditions, including retinal detachment, choroidal tumors, uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Somani holds an academic appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Alberta.
