Dr. Richard Quinones

Dr. Richard Quinones is a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He is dedicated to staying current with the latest research to offer his patients advanced treatment options that may help preserve their vision.

With a passion for teaching, Dr. Quinones has been involved in the education of Chicago-area ophthalmology residents since 1996 and serves on the faculty of Edward Hines VA Hospital. He has lectured nationally and internationally on glaucoma diagnosis and treatment and has been a principal or sub-investigator on numerous research projects, including the NIH-sponsored COAST study on Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty.

Dr. Quinones has been an advocate for patients and the ophthalmology profession, having served as Past President of the Chicago Glaucoma Society, as a Councilor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and on the board of the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology.
