About Me

Dr. Raymond Pekala is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing comprehensive eye care to patients in the South Jersey area. He has been practicing quality eye care and surgery since 1982, offering treatment for a range of eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, and other common vision problems. Dr. Pekala is experienced in cataract surgery and lens implants, and provides compassionate care for patients at his Haddon Heights office.

Dr. Pekala completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University magna cum laude and earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He pursued his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania/Scheie Eye Institute. He currently serves as Chief of the Division of Ophthalmic Surgery at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden and is an Attending Surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital, where he also serves on the teaching staff.

In his practice, Dr. Pekala emphasizes comprehensive and compassionate eye care, treating patients for a wide variety of eye conditions and performing surgical procedures when needed. He is dedicated to helping patients maintain and improve their vision.
