Dr. Rahul Iyengar

Dr. Rahul Iyengar is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Retinal Consultants of Arizona who manages the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina care. His interests include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinal vascular occlusions, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, and ocular trauma. Dr. Iyengar graduated summa cum laude in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where he also earned his medical degree as a merit scholarship recipient and AOA inductee. He completed ophthalmology residency at LAC+USC Medical Center, earning a Senior Resident Teaching Award, followed by a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship with the USC Roski Eye Institute and Retina-Vitreous Associates, where he served as Chief Fellow.
